A Unique Ecosystem Dedicated to Inclusive Innovation

As part of our commitment to advancing inclusion and strengthening social resilience, the AXA Foundation for Human Progress is a key financial partner of HANDILAB, the first European innovation hub fully dedicated to disability and loss of autonomy.

Created by Groupe Fiminco and located in Saint-Denis (Greater Paris), HANDILAB is a 15,000 m² space designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and practical solutions to improve autonomy and inclusion. Open to all, it brings together start-ups, large corporations, researchers, artists, institutions, and the general public.

The site combines research and training areas, production and innovation spaces for professionals, and a discovery and experience zone for wider audiences. This ecosystem enables companies and start-ups to co-develop products through an incubator and project-based partnerships, with disability and universal design at the core.

HANDILAB is founded on strong convictions that we fully share:

  • Moving disability, dependence, and loss of autonomy beyond the purely medico-social sphere;

  • Recognizing people with disabilities as creators of value and full citizens;

  • Offering a space that fosters synergies and innovation for the benefit of all.

Major financial partners supporting the HANDILAB endowment include L’Oréal, Bouygues, Capgemini, Randstad, Schneider Electric, Altarea, and Afer.

Through this partnership, we are helping to move disability out of the purely medico-social field and into the heart of business, innovation, and value creation. Together with HANDILAB, we are turning difference into strength and making inclusion a driver of positive, meaningful, and sustainable growth for all.
