Enabling Science as a Compass for Action.

Today, research faces a double crisis. On one side, the risks to human health, planetary balance, and societal stability are becoming more complex, interconnected, and rapidly evolving. On the other side, science itself is weakened: private and public investments remain insufficient - nearly one-third of approved scientific projects in Europe are abandoned due to lack of funding - and misinformation is on the rise, undermining scientific consensus, especially on climate issues.

Accelerating research around three major fields

In line with AXA’s purpose to act for human progress by protecting what matters, our support is directed towards accelerating research around risk in the areas of health, climate & environment, and socio-economy & new technologies.
